GOOD Based on 526 reviews Posted on Blac Fire MediaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Waited 30 -35 minutes for A Ox Tail dinner. Food was hot but very mild in seasoning. Jamaican Beef Patty crust was good but beef filling was mushy, like faux meat. Inside was nicely decorated. When waiting for your food, please be don’t trip over security gate bolted into floor. Overall will rate food as AVERAGE!!👮🏽♀️Posted on Storm Schneade ChapmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This spot is hands down 5 stars! From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was warm and genuine, and the food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere felt so authentic—everything from the accents, to the sayings on the walls, to the bold flavors of the dishes made it feel like a little piece of Jamaica right here in Cali. If you’re looking for not just great food but also a cultural experience, this is the place. I love how they stay true to the culture—it’s vibrant, welcoming, and unforgettable. I’ll definitely be coming back!Posted on unneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They got a little makeover I see y’all 💅🏾— probably some of the best Jamaican food I’ve had in LA — order the patties ahead of time they always sell outPosted on Sea AllenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I ordered the oxtail small plate today and it was totally off. No flavor but a lot of salt. They were totally off its mark today. $20 too much to pay for a plate of salt. Also, service was not great. It doesn't hurt to greet the customers with a smile or some warmth. Gave two stars as the restaurant was very clean.Posted on Reesha B.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Cha! This isn’t Jamaican food. It’s coconut all in the food, I should’ve listen to a white man’s review anyway but I love Kev. Oxtail, don’t taste like Jamaican anything, no butter beans, nothing. Rice and peas coconut flavor, cabbage coconut flavor 😂, called the store, whoever answered the phone was having a conversation before she even acknowledged the person calling. 0/10 I promise. Now, Waagwan was better. Way better.Posted on Retonya BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The oxtails were absolutely fire, the way that the juice from the oxtails married with the rice and peas OMG. Lol even the vegetables had a buttery delicious savory taste. Wow plantains!!! sweet and yummy. I could eat it every day. It was the bomb.com shout out to Country style Jamaican restaurant y’all did that. When I finish this review , it said add photo it’s too late😂. My food is gone lol next time.Posted on DamesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From a yardi, I would say it is a Ok, not the best curry goat I've had, and not the worst either. The curry could have simmer a bit more, it had a little grit and bit too much all spicy. Peas was a little under cook, it was hard. Would go back and try the Oxtail and see how that is.Posted on Tarik GebrehiwetTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The food was really dissapointing. Not sure if it's always like this but everything was mushy and overcooked. I got the rice n peas and salt fish n ackee plate with calaloo. It was $25 and calaloo was from a can.Posted on Royal Beaute LLCTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything was flavorful and cooked very well. I waited about 40 minutes for it to come via Uber and it was still warm and fresh. The portions are hearty. Definitely a spot to return to.
